DUE WEEK 7: Prepare for our midterm show and tell:
For your presentation: Make sure you bring in ALL steps done so far , story, story- breakdowns, ideation , drawings, mood boards, sketch books etc.) Take pictures for digital and hard copy portfolio (due at the end of semester).
If you haven't done so: Costume-prop, prop (hand held) and set-prop (e.g. furniture): Refine design idea. 1 mood board each prop.
ALSO DUE WEEK 7: Collect materials make a plan for prototype production. Start mock models/samples show mood (3) boards. Bring muslin (or bed sheet), make muslin pattern and or bring in existing garment to take pattern from. Buy/collect materials to start your prototypes.
FYI: The prop(s) you are NOT make into a prototype:
Redraw your ideation sketch(es) in perspective, create traditional drawings/concept sketches: Add new VP (maybe exploded views, ortho view, scale etc) add notes, swatches, and create an ultimate concept sketch. You can create some drawings in Rhino, partially, if needed, but not only!
This is due for final presentation, week 14.
