Drawing a quick dynamic gesture:

2 minute dynamic rock star gestures:

Be aware that hips don't get (much) wider by the pose. Pay attention to floorline (feet) and forshortening of feet/shoes.

Draw the figure the "regular" way:
Underdarwing (pastel), adding shadow/light (pastel or prisma), render and refine (prisma).

Draw the figure the "regular" way:
Underdarwing (pastel), adding shadow/light (pastel or prisma), render and refine (prisma).

Seeing the figure as shapes is important. Comparing to verticals. Comparing proportions of body parts. Always see your center (front or back). Always be aware of weight leg. Also use negative space.

Right and left hand silouette drawing: Start with your regular hand and follow with your other hand. Make sure you think of your system, how to be able to use your negative space (as for what body parts, eg. torso you want to draw first).

Shadow/light:
4 step exercise:
1)Draw the underdrawing with a light pastel or marker. Include feet, draw the weight leg first and use negative space (s).
2) Add shadows, using a dark pastel, seeing shadow as a shape.
3) Adding highlights, with a bright pastel (eg. yellow)
4) Render the figure with Prisma pencil, terra cotta for hair/skin, and black for the swimsuit.
