I chose my article from the E-library. This type of research is completely new for me (when I was looking for something, I always just googled). Having access to the Otis database, I tried Vogue first (being a fashion person:)), but of course there was nothing to be found about blended learning. So I searched most of the other data bases.

The article was written by Liz Pape in 2006 and talks about blended learning methods and hybrid classrooms and how it's more and more used in schools, already on from K-12. They also researched how it makes teaching for the faculty easier, but also helps children and students with learning disabilities getting their tasks done (within their own timing). Also if students miss classes (e.g. due to sickness), it makes it easier to catch up.

I'm getting more and more comfortable using the computer for research, and it's a great practice, especially doing the technical aspect of it. Being able to upload a link or a picture into my e-Portfolio, submitting my work and finding my peers' comments, I find the most exciting part!

I loved constructing the paper crane! Unlike my peers, I felt it was actually much easier to follow a film. But I do have to add that I have some experience with Origami already. My 8 year old son Dylan and I got into it last summer, and we have a couple of books on this topic. Doing Origami from illustrations in a book is much harder. My advice would be to use a combination of drawings and film. However, there was a part at the beginning of the video that was a bit confusing. One can make mistakes by holding the paper square the wrong way and that was mentioned in the film but not clearly shown. That's when my booklet came in handy.
