Drawing the clothes on the body:
Junior - spring island cruise:
1) Under-drawing with a skin-colored marker (or with a black marker on a separate page) Integrate clothes right away. (No need to draw and "construct" the nude body first. Integrate fold and fabric -"pulls" right away, they'll describe the body beneath.
2) or 3) Add water color folds and shadows.
3) (could be also step 2) Refine, render and add detail of clothes with prisma pencil. First with a soft line quality, once happy, add accents and contrasts. Integrate shadows and folds as you go. Face, hands and shoes focus on simple silhouette.
3) (Could be done right after under drawing) Block in color (of garment and shoes) with gouache/water color. Add simple shadows in face and block color in hair.
4) Add highlight and skin with pastel and blend

Silhouette/movement exercise:
Focus on the more dynamic side and draw one line only, that side first. If you get to the other, fine, if not start next. Especially focus on diagonals.
1minute drawing.
Silhouette drawing with both hands:
Right and left hand silouette drawing: Start with your regular hand and follow with your other hand. Make sure you think of your system, how to be able to use your negative space (as for what body parts, eg. torso you want to draw first).
5 minutes
Contour drawing:
1 line only. Describe EVERYTHING (incl. shadows, folds and every detail) with 1 line only. Remember blind drawings.
8 minutes
Fast garment drawing:
Focus on proportion and fabric folds only. See diagonals.
3 minutes
Face studies:
When we draw the fashion face, it is important to edit. We stylize everything. Start out drawing softly (with Prisma), then add accents and contrasts at the end. Add pastel highlights and skin color softly and blend (Working in layers).
