Midterm test:

 

1 page with 3 dynamic poses:

The first two are a thorough under drawing and only the head, hands and feet are worked out (rendered). (15 minutes each)- see image #8.

The 3rd gesture is completely rendered (in leotard).

Media: Marker and Prisma.

(20 minutes)

 

2nd page:

 

3 dynamic finished figures: E.g: Leotard and cape, striped cape and or dress. Media: Marker, Prisma and or water color.

(25 minutes each)

Dynamic gesture/ action pose:

 

1) Trying to do the under drawing in 2 minutes, to catch the movement.

2) Improve, correct under-drawing.

3) On top page, draw silhouette of outfit with Prisma (few, clean lines, focusing on the proportion of the garment).

4) Adding shadows and folds of the garment with marker.

5) Model takes a break:

During the model break, students can block in the color of the garment with marker, refine and accentuate Prisma lines, work on face, hands, feet/shoes.

6) Model returns for 8 minutes:

Finish and complete drawing, shade and highlight and refine.

 

25 minutes total time:

2 minutes under drawing to catch movement

3 minutes correction, editing

4 minutes creating the silhouette of outfit

3 minutes adding shadows and folds

5 minutes: model is on break: blocking in color work on things possible w/o model

8 minutes with the model to complete shadows, folds, hands, feet faces.
