- SPRING SEMESTER: Week 1 and 2: Basics of the female figure in swimsuit:
- Week 2: Different fabric textures, different media. (Former yaers): Striped cover ups. Shading and shapes.
- Weeks 3 and 4: Continuing stripes. line quality/contour, leg studies, hands and shoes.
- Week 4 and 5: Dresses, rendering folds and drape. Rendering swim suit with sparkles
- Weeks 4, 5 and 6: Day dresses. Stripes and folds.
- Week 7 or 8 : Midterm test:
- Week 8: Opposite proportions, whide jackets and skinny jeans, textures ex. herringbone, houndstooth etc.
- Week 9: Garment textures. Better sports wear, seeing the body beneath the clothes.
- Week 10: More textures, jeans and knit. Better sports wear. Seeing the body beneath. Tracing paper method.
- Week 11: Drawing the jacket in different medias. Formerly the Grunche project. Working on tracing paper, seeing the body beneath
- Week 12/13: Preparing for final test. Week 14: Final test.

1) Under drawing

3) Block color with Pastel powder (and cotton square).
4) Add folds and shadows with Prisma.
5) In light areas erase herring bone, in dark areas texture with Prisma.
6) Add contrast of Prisma line.

Sometimes it is good to study a close up of a texture, rendering basically a swatch. You can work with copying it down (or photoshop) to see the close up in different sizes.
