3 minute dynamic poses, with under drawing:
1) Under drawing in skin tone marker.
2) Working with a different color marker, brush and point tip: Starting with point tip, refining and shading or adding garment stripe (in this case) with brush tip.

Drawing a THOROUGH under drawing is essential!:
It should include body shape, muscles - not just a skeleton, hands and feet and a head shape - not just a soccer ball)
Then look and get distance, compare with the model and correct it, before we draw the clothes on and render.
One ALWAYS should draw in the center front or center back. Important to draw 3/4 views.

Drawing the gesture:
1) Trying to do the under drawing in 5 minutes, to catch the pose.
2) Improve, correct under-drawing.
3) On top page, draw silhouette of outfit with Prisma (few, clean lines, focusing on the proportion of the garment).
4) Adding shadows and folds of the garment with marker.
5) IF model takes a break:
During the model break, students can block in the color of the garment with marker, refine and accentuate Prisma lines, work on face, hands, feet/shoes.
6) Model returns for 8 minutes:
7) Finish and complete drawing, shade and highlight and refine.
25 minutes total time:
5 minutes under drawing
3 minutes correction, editing
4 minutes creating the silhouette of outfit
3 minutes adding shadows and folds
8 minutes finish and colplete the drawing
2 minutes w/o model

Working with an under drawing (black marker so you can see it through) on a seperate sheet (below).
With Prisma draw silhouette of the garment. Folds and shadows with water color (squint if necessary).
Add shadows to body and face with water color. Render with Prisma last.

It is important to pay attention of the proportion of the dress and the proportions (width) and directions of the stripes.

Folds and stripes:
After under drawing on a separate sheet (below) We draw the silhouette of the dress. Then we put in the folds and shadows of the dress with water color.
After its dry, draw stripes with marker. Pay attention to movement and direction of stripes.

Pastel technique:
Quick under drawing (only shape and movement of figure), then silhouette of dress, then add stripes.

When we have a lot going on, many pieces draped incl. stripes:
Pursue same: Silhouette of shapes (break them down) Add shadows and folds with water color) and at the end the stripes.

Make sure stripes follow the curves of the body.
