- SPRING SEMESTER: Week 1 and 2: Basics of the female figure in swimsuit:
- Week 2: Different fabric textures, different media. (Former yaers): Striped cover ups. Shading and shapes.
- Weeks 3 and 4: Continuing stripes. line quality/contour, leg studies, hands and shoes.
- Week 4 and 5: Dresses, rendering folds and drape. Rendering swim suit with sparkles
- Weeks 4, 5 and 6: Day dresses. Stripes and folds.
- Week 7 or 8 : Midterm test:
- Week 8: Opposite proportions, whide jackets and skinny jeans, textures ex. herringbone, houndstooth etc.
- Week 9: Garment textures. Better sports wear, seeing the body beneath the clothes.
- Week 10: More textures, jeans and knit. Better sports wear. Seeing the body beneath. Tracing paper method.
- Week 11: Drawing the jacket in different medias. Formerly the Grunche project. Working on tracing paper, seeing the body beneath
- Week 12/13: Preparing for final test. Week 14: Final test.

Pleather:
Under drawing on separate page:
Create silhouette of garment.
Block in (here: brown) color with marker
Block in shadows and folds with a black marker.
Shine can be left white, or can be blocked out first with brown, and add white pastel "shine -shapes" later.
Prince De Gaulle in Prisma:
Same as above.
Working in Prisma only, starting with the silhouette of garment first and add shadows with the side of pencil
Working with marker and pastel:
Same as above, adding shadows with brush side of marker and use pastel dust to color tone in.

As you keep hearing from me the under drawing is very important, it is the foundation of your drawing and can make or break the drawing:
It is very important to take the time to measure correctly to keep the correct proportion!

Rendering different textures: Fur, leather, sequins and tull.

Drawing the clothes only.
Silhouette of garments first with prisma.
Shadows and folds of skirt with marker or water color.
Block out fur color.
Highlight lighter areas.
Texture fur where texture is most visible (not regular).

Block in shadows and folds with a black marker.

Sequin and Tull:
Sequin:
Under drawing on a separate page.
Silhouette of garments with Prisma (soft LQ).
Block out color of dress.
Add shine with pastel and blend.
Add sequin with white gouache, only those who shine. All others, aor some more visible ones, with Prisma (half circles).
Tull:
Tull is see through.
Water color shape of Tull.
After dry, add shadows and double layers.
Add texture (very fine grid) with Prisma.

1) Block in with pink marker.
2) Add shadows/folds with a grey marker.
3) Pastel dust with a contrast color.
4) Erase patern (dots).
5) Add texture with Prisma.
6) Add chain with gouache.
Jeans:
1) Block in with blue marker or gouache.
2) Add shadows and folds with marker or gouache.
3) Add grey pastel and white pastel the whashed out areas and blend.
4) Erase what is to much.
5) Seams and contours with blue Prisma.

Adding the clothes only on tracing paper (with Prisma). Draw silhouette of garment first. Then emphasize on fabric folds (shadows) according to the body movement/pose (with the side of Prisma or marker).

Use tracing paper. Draw shadows with marker in an edited way. Lift tracing paper. Add few accents with Prisma.
