Homework presentation (all 6 improved sketches 3 S and 3 H objects)
Last week: 15 + 15 ideation sketches: Pick 3 each (S + H)
Step 2: Sketches: Sketch out (each 3 (S = H) ideation pics) 25 min each. 6 sketches. Due TODAY!
Today: Class meeting/feedback: Students may be at different parts/steps of the original assignment.
After review: Review proportions, sizes, scale, shapes, functionality, notes, clarify etc.
If needed: Refine stories:
Refine each story text following the class feedback and include ALL of the following : User + Environment + product definition, AND fantasy element. Check your spelling and PRINT. (Total 2 pages 11”X17”)
Homework due for week 12:
Step/phase 3: 2 new refined more rendered sketches: Pick 1 sketch/object each (S + H) and refine.
Think of functionality, material, texture (include swatch or reference image), review proportions, add scale(body), add different angle(s)/view(s) - if it makes sense - (exploded, oblique, isometric, ortho etc.). Add more detail, add notes, arrows and motion, maybe color, shading (1,2,3). If needed add (ground) shadows.
Don't forget the INFO block on each page!
Until here (above) is due week 13 (next week) 4/15,16,17:
Think of Phase 4 and final presentation (due week 15, 4/29,30,5/1): Phase 4 includes: Main Drawing of each object (1 S + 1 H), colored, rendered, textured shaded: In addition: If you don’t have already: Add different angles - (if it makes sense) views (exploded, oblique, isometric, ortho etc.) Add background of final presentation illustration. - Make sure there’s a main sales point/view/composition. Have a name for your product.
