VisComm2: Week 2: Homework: Due week 3:
1. Draw the in class project “book tower” in perspective!
A) We sketched in class the book/box tower, based on measuring and proportions. Take a picture from your POV.
B) Take sketch and draw on tracing paper, all Vanishing Points, for this you need to work on a large piece of paper to find/create your horizon, see example. (45-1h).
C) Due week 4: Trace again (or copy) and shade with marker. Pay attention to shadow light. (45 min)
Homework part 2: Choose a designer for:
A) Product, furniture, fashion, costume, jewelry, architecture etc.
(Ex: Philippe Starck, Ray Eames, or Richard Neutra). (1h)
B) Include/print 5 images created by your designer. Blk and white copies are ok.
C) Pick 1 inspiration object (created by your designer) and redesign or new design inspired by: 15 ideation (quick) sketches (3”x3”) with Marker and Prisma pencil. Per sketch no more than 5 minutes (1h15min)
Homework part 3:
Bring in a favorite object to draw.
